February, 2025: Gaia Scholastic presents at Columbia University's Mid-Winter Climate Institute
Gaia supports teachers across grade levels and content areas in NYC public schools to integrate environmental literacy into their pre-existing curricula. This workshop enabled teachers to find connections between their content and environmental concepts for their students.

January, 2025: Gaia Scholastic partners with the American Museum of Natural History at the New York Botanical Garden
Gaia Scholastic collaborated with the American Museum of Natural History to lead a workshop on nature journaling at the Regional Environmental Educators Day (REED), hosted at the New York Botanical Garden.
December, 2024: Gaia Scholastic's research is listed as #4 of Edutopia's "The 10 Most Significant Education Studies of 2024"
Gaia's research explored the impact of nature journaling on student well-being. The results indicate that interdisciplinary environmental education helps middle school students decrease stress, improve mood, and increased their feelings of connection to self, others, and nature.

The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) produces "Guidelines for Excellence," which set the standard for high-quality environmental education. October, 2024: Gaia Scholastic CEO publishes vital climate education research!
This peer-reviewed journal article, published in the Environmental Education Research, highlights the need for interdisciplinary environmental education. The results indicate this type of learning experience supports middle school students in stress reduction, mood improvement, and increased connection to self, others, and nature.
